Types of Retaining Walls
Gravity Wall
These walls depend on their weight to resist the force of the retained soil. As the name implies it uses gravity to resist the lateral force of the soil behind them to transform an uneven terrain into usable flat surface.
Engineered Wall
Engineered wall systems use grids made from special polymers, also called geogrids, to build strong retaining walls. They reinforce the soil they sit on and effectively prevent erosion, especially on sloped areas. This makes for a less time-consuming and labor-intensive project.

I called and talked with Jordan, he came out the same night to give us a quote. When we talked about the two old retaining walls that we wanted replaced, he let us know what blocks would work best. We received an estimate within days. When we decided what we liked, Tri-State was able to remove the old walls and install new walls within a few weeks. When we had questions, Jordan got back to us the same day. Tri - State was able to get both walls balanced with the slope of land next to our house. They were able to add space next to the garage so we could get to our back yard with our vehicles. My wife and I were very impressed by their attention to detail.
